Font color changed to default after loading vs2019 project

The first time you load a project, the font is maintained.

However, the color of the font is changed to the basic color after project loading is completely finished. Why is that?

Check if it helps after changing this setting: TOOLS menu, Options, Environment, Accounts, then uncheck the “Synchronize Visual Studio settings across devices” option. Restart Visual Studio.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please also check if Tools > Options… > Text Editor > C#(or the specific language) > Advanced > Editor Color Scheme option is set to Visual Studio 2019.

If you have extensions installed, please confirm that the installed extensions won’t affect the colors of the code(you can disable them temporarily to check).

If the colors were manually changed before, from Tools > Options… > Environment > Fonts and Colors, please check and confirm that they weren’t changed to default.

BTW, the project was developed in VS 2019 and you are using VS 2019 right?

Developed in vs2019 and still in progress.

This is an extension I installed. Should I disable all of them?

This did not appear from the beginning. At some point, this phenomenon appeared.

Also questionable is not all text changed to default. Function names or specific class names work correctly.

Hi @영훈 정,

I see that some code with green/orange/golden color was changed to basic color, but some not. I also notice that you are using an extension called Viasfora, can you confirm that if the color of those code which was changed to basic color was previously set by Viasfora? If so, I suggest try to disable Viasfora and then enable Viasfora again.

Hi @영훈 정,

If you try to run VS in Safe Mode(run devenv /SafeMode in Developer Command Prompt for Visual Studio 2019), will the color appear normal? Safe Mode avoids any impact from extensions and is helpful for narrowing down the issue.

In case it is caused by cache, please try to rename ComponentModelCache folder in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\VisualStudio\16.0_XXXXX, remove the hidden .vs folder in your solution folder and rebuild the project.

Also please consider resetting VS settings and repairing VS.

A little peculiarity is that the code in the C# wpf environment seems to work properly.

I am developing in C# Xamarin environment. There is a difference in this part.

Hi @영훈 정,

Is there any build error when you rebuild this Xamarin project? If you create a same file and copy then paste the code into the new file and replace the old file, will the issue disappear?
