e-mails are deleted when sharing to sharepoint

Whenever dragging and dropping emails to a sharepoint library from Outlook 365 desktop app, the cursor turns into a box and the email is moved to the deleted emails folder of Outlook. How do you share to sharepoint but keep the email in the inbox?

    Hi, if you hold down the CTRL key as you drag the email into SharePoint, it stays in the inbox

    This issue can occur if the SharePoint library is set to require check-out before editing. To fix this, try the following:

    1. Open the SharePoint library in question and click on the gear icon in the top-right corner.
    2. Select "Library settings" from the drop-down menu.
    3. Click on "Versioning settings" under the "General settings" section.
    4. Check if the "Require documents to be checked out before they can be edited?" option is selected. If it is, deselect it and save the changes.
    5. Try dragging and dropping emails to the SharePoint library again.

    Hi @TravisDuncan-3350 ,

    I'm testing in my environment, and it's the same situation as yours. Although the email will be added to the SharePoint library, the email will be automatically deleted.

    But when I use outlook 2019, the mail is not deleted.

    Therefore, we recommend that you consider using Outlook 2019 first.

    We're facing the exact same issue. When copying mails from Outlook to Teams-> Mail gets deleted.

    We are experiencing the same issue. It works fine for any SharePoint folder that it's synced to your desktop and then drag and drop via your file explorer but not the web browser.
