Hi Sharon,
To exclude the account itself, you could try to sign in Teams web client(https://teams.microsoft.com) in InPrivate mode and check the result.
I can login normally on teams web client using Edge's InPrivate mode (I actually use firefox and I can login normally aswell on its private window)
Then, perform a clean boot to exclude whether a background program is interfering with Teams.
I did the clean boot as indicated on the refered link but I couldn't see any change, teams desktop app shows the same error window and resets the settings after closing it and reopening it 2-3 times. I tried reinstalling teams app on clean environment aswell with no success.
Moreover, check if there is some error message in the health status of Microsoft Teams in Office 365 admin center > Health > Service health.
I checked this with my IT manager, the admin center shows only one issue about Microsoft Teams says "Users may see incorrect status messages when using non-American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) text", I attach the screen here (sorry the UI is in japanese)
It feels teams app is storing corrupted or invalid data before app closes, after the login error is shown and all settings gets reset I can login normally.
Best Regards
