I keep seeing the crashes in event viewer, especially right after system startup. I almost never use Cortana or perform searches, so it's really puzzling that SearchApp.exe has several crash entries after each system restart.

Faulting application name: SearchApp.exe, version: 10.0.19041.2788, time stamp: 0x21e6ec4e

Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.19041.2788, time stamp: 0x62e593d6

Exception code: 0xc000027b

Fault offset: 0x0000000000117cd2

Faulting process id: 0x2b44

Faulting application start time: 0x01d9808b34dbf399

Faulting application path: C:\WINDOWS\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\SearchApp.exe

Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll

Report Id: 0671737b-a098-4f3d-9b41-514f7270eac1

Faulting package full name: Microsoft.Windows.Search_1.14.9.19041_neutral_neutral_cw5n1h2txyewy

Faulting package-relative application ID: CortanaUI

How do I troubleshoot crashes like that, especially involving KERNELBASE.dll? Windows version is 22H2.

I advise you to report this issue using the Feedback Hub app.

Try performing Clean Boot and see if the problem persists?

    Have a look at:

If not, then you may enable services one by one to see which one causing the problem.
