    Hi,

From you comment on the other question, it seems you got the portal to work.

Were you able to successfully create the VM, or do you still need assistance?

Please let me know in a comment. I would be happy to assist if you are unsure about what to put in each field during the create VM process.

    Thanks.

    Hello, @Erika Mendoza !

    Where am I seeing this?

Why can't I create a new resource group?

For this exercise, a resource group has been created for you. Select the resource group from the drop down menu to continue creating the VM.

Attempting to create a new resource group will result in the following error:

You do not have permission to create resource groups under subscription Concierge Subscription.

Instead, select the existing resource group from the sandbox:

Why am I seeing more fields in the portal than the exercise describes?

When creating resources in the portal, it's important to note that the UI is constantly changing. When creating your VM, enter the values from the exercise that match the values in the portal. That will look something like the screenshot above. For more information about VM creation, you can hover over the i simbol in the UI and you can go through the VM creation documentation:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/windows/quick-create-portal

If you are having trouble finding VMs as a resource, the most reliable way to create a resource is to click on Create a resource from the portal's home page, then search for the service you are interested in (Virtual Machine in this case):
