Unable to access teams on an android device with OS version as 11. I tried to troubleshoot and the instructions redirected me to update the latest security patch of 2022-03-01 but when I went ahead and checked for the security patches in my android device, it was up to date which was September 1st, 2021. Is there any alternative for this?

    Hi Makam

    try:

Clear App Cache and Data: Sometimes, app cache or data can cause issues with functionality. Clear the cache and data of the Teams app on your Android device. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" or "Application Manager," locate the Teams app, and choose "Clear cache" and "Clear data." Restart the app and see if the issue is resolved.

Reinstall the Teams App: Uninstall the Teams app from your Android device and reinstall it from the Google Play Store. This can help resolve any potential issues with the app installation. After reinstalling, log in to Teams again and check if you can access it successfully.

Check Device Compatibility: Ensure that your Android device meets the minimum requirements for running the Teams app. Verify that the device hardware and OS version are supported. You can check the official Microsoft Teams documentation or the Google Play Store listing for compatibility details.

Try a Different Version: If you are using the stable version of the Teams app, you can try installing the Teams beta version from the Google Play Store. The beta version may have bug fixes and feature enhancements that can address the issue you are experiencing.

Contact Microsoft Support: If the issue persists after trying the above alternatives, it is recommended to reach out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They can provide specific guidance and troubleshooting steps based on your device, OS version, and the Teams app.

    Hi Makam

    you can try:

    1. Contact your device manufacturer: If you don't find any available updates through the system settings, reach out to your device manufacturer's support channels. They can provide guidance on how to update your device's security patch to a newer version.

Consider a custom ROM or firmware update: If your device is no longer receiving official updates, you might consider alternative methods such as installing a custom ROM or firmware. These community-developed software versions often include the latest security patches. However, note that installing custom ROMs or firmware carries some risks and may void your device's warranty, so proceed with caution and do thorough research.

Remember that the exact steps and availability of updates can vary depending on your device's manufacturer, model, and carrier. It's always recommended to follow official instructions or seek support from the manufacturer to ensure a smooth and safe update process.

as example if your phone is Samsung, you can contact the support via Samsung members.
