Microsoft Authenticator

Question

hello, so I’m having trouble adding an account to my Microsoft outlook. Usually, it would be simple to Authenticate an account using the Microsoft Authenticator app, but it’s proving to being very tedious. In order to authenticate this account, I have to add the account itself on the Microsoft Authenticator app and authenticate it. Every time I attempt to add the account, the app tells me to enter a code via the Microsoft Authenticator app? I can’t use any other methods unless this account is on the authenticator app, even though I am ALREADY on the app itself. All of my apps are to date so I don’t see what I am doing wrong. This paradox is extremely frustrating, is there any way around this?
