Start by booting into "safe mode" and see if that corrects the problem, or at least gets you to a point where you can begin to look for the problem.

This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Windows 11 takes 2 1/2 hours to boot or restart. It does however start and run fine. Articles say to uninstall KB5004238, however I do not see where that update was installed.
During the 2 1/2 hours there is no boot screen to select recovery or drive to boot from.
Looking for ideas to try.

Rich,
Thank you for a response. However I cannot boot into safe mode. Nothing is shown on screen. The screen stays a medium gray for 2 ++ hours when I get the log in screen.
The "f" keys do not work when booting, (At least I can not see that they work). I could try System, Recovery, Advanced; however I do not know what to look for "if" I can get into Safe Mode.
Find two flash drives that you can format (> or = 8 GB).
Find a working computer.
On the working computer create tools that you can use on the problematic computer.
.
.
Create a bootable Sea Tools flash drive:
https://www.seagate.com/manuals/software/seatools-bootable/
.
.
Move the Sea Tools bootable flash drive to the problematic computer and boot to the flash drive.
Run the Sea Tools bootable Long Generic test > take pictures of the result > post images or share links into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive
.
.
If the Sea Tools Long Generic test displays fail then backup important files and replace the disk drive.
If the Sea Tools Long Generic test displays pass then continue with the steps in this post.
.
.
On the working Windows computer create a bootable Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 11 iso).
(The Sea Tools flash drive can be repurposed or another flash drive can be used that can be formatted)
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/download-official-windows-11-iso-file-from-microsoft.1009/
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11/
.
.
Move the bootable Windows 11 MCT to the problematic computer and boot to the flash drive.
.
.
Run startup repair and report the findings.
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/use-startup-repair-in-windows-11.14660/
If it reports that it created a srttrail.txt then post the results into this thread.
.
.
View the system restore points and perform a system restore with the oldest system restore point.
Repeat system restore as necessary up to the most recent restore point.
https://www.elevenforum.com/t/use-system-restore-on-windows-11.3604/
.
.
If startup repair and system restore fail then perform a custom install.
(A custom install will install a fresh version of Windows 11 and backup files to Windows.old)
(Drivers and applications need to be reinstalled)
(Important files are restored from Windows.old)

I would like to try this BUT, I cannot boot to F8 to select "Boot to Flash Drive"? The screen stays black until the system is up and running.
Is there another way to select the bootable device?
I have written the computer mfg to see if there is a way other than F8 to change the boot device, Since I cannot see the screen when booting.
