I was playing on my xbox series s and I went to go stand it up and it was hot to the touch. The black part of the console was hot and I had been playing on the console since 10:15 am (pt), with breaks in between. I left the xbox on while I went to make lunch at 12 pm (pt) and came back to play for a little bit until I went to go stand it up for a more homey feeling.
I think that turning off the machine and pull out the power plug can be a good idea. Then take a walk and enjoy the fine weather (if there is any where you live), and maybe it has cooled down when you come back.
And more importantly, when you ask a question, review which tags you add. I removed all five tags you had and replaced it with Not Monitored, since your question is clearly off-topic for all five.
