HOW DO I ACCESS MY EMAIL THAT IS NOT ADD TO "MAIL ACCOUNT" ON MY DEVICE

Good day. I used my Phone number to sign up (register) on the OneDrive app and used an email address as an alternative for contact. And whenever I tried to sign in to OneDrive via the "Forgot password" option provided, the code was sent to my Phone number used to sign up (register) but do not receive the sent code on my Phone number. Also, I have gone to the web address provided by Microsoft to verify my identity on the web but the fields provided to enter the family and friend email addresses is strenuous for me because I have never used my mail account to communicate with family and friend. Why the code sent by Microsoft was not received on my Phone number? I have disabled DND on my Phone number. Or do I deactivate my OneDrive account and sign up (register) a new account?
