Accidentally deleted vhd, how to restore back VMs in hyper v

Dear All,

I accidentally deleted a VHD and checkpoint in Hyper v, how do i restore back when there's no backup? is there a recycle bin which i can restore? please advise.

Under my folders virtual machines is empty hence all data gone. only left the disk. Appreciate if can assist on this?

    Hi jason chen wenqing qing I want to help you with this question.

    If I understand you correctly, you deleted the VM and also it's VHD, right?

    Then it's unfortunately not so easy to restore the VHD, when you can't find it in the systems recycle bin or you did a backup of it previously.

    If you only deleted the VM in Hyper V Manager, then you only deleted the Configs, the VHD should still be on the defined file path.
