NTFS Permissions error S-1-5-21

Hello,
I am working on VM using Hypervisor and trying to add a group to this machine. The group is in my AD and when I do add the group to the NTFS for this particular folder it appears like this.
Windows for business | Windows Client for IT Pros | Storage high availability | Virtualization and Hyper-V
Windows for business | Windows Server | User experience | Other

2023-05-22T21:30:25.4166667+00:00 When I go into this particular machine and I right click on the folder in my local C drive and try to add the group Sales and assign it NTFS permissions it will act like it will take it, but when I close it the Sales group will appear as the S-1-5-21. Did you see the screenshot?

2023-05-22T22:02:19.47+00:00 No, there is no screenshot, but the SID being shown in place of the username means the username cannot be resolved. I'd check the domain controller and problem member both have the static ip address of DC listed for DNS and no others such as router or public DNS.
