Thanks for your patience, unfortunately, I just got confirmation from product team -

Cognitive Services is not listed on the list of Azure Services with Availability Zone Support, so Azure OpenAI Service as part of Cognitive Services is not in list: Azure services that support availability zones | Microsoft Learn

I look through the document you attached above, and found out under Section "Azure service with availability support" the 3rd bullet points "Always-available service", and the last sentence (Products available by region), I do find Azure openAI service there that available for region (East US, and South Central US) . But since the service is too new, just want to confirm whether it is available for available zone. Currently working on the engagement that in the architecture phrase, and making design on if there is availability zone for Azure OpenAI service, if yes, we only need one deployment, but if not, we need 2 deployment (one for central and one for east)

Thanks for your response, I see your point, the document is not that clear, and the page you are referring to contains all products and showing the which region it supported.

To make things clearer, I will double check again with both content team and product team to provide you an answer.
