unable join azure vm to azure domain error

i try to join new VM to my Azure domain and get error “The referenced account is currently locked and may not be logged on to.”

i can ping domain name

i can RDP

i have tried all of the following.

  1. change password expire threshold
  2. change password to never expire
  3. checked DNS and all good

any idea?

    Hello Daniel,

    Try using the following format to join the domain:

    DOMAIN\username

    (instead of using email@domain.com)
