How to fix Teams crashing on startup

On my Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 laptop, Teams crashes repeatedly after about 10 secvonds after the window displays. The routine is that Teams displays and crashes three times, each time displaying a "glitch" message.

Then displays a window asking to restart. That window is stable and does not crash.

Associated with the crashes are the following EventLog records:

Each error record is accompanied by an Information record that contains a .NET error summary. Typical contents of an error record and an information record are attached. My primary takeaway from looking at the records is that Teams has some sort of problem with the ksproxy.ax file, but i'm unable to take this to the next step.

Here's what I've tried to do to fix this:

  • Restarted Teams.
  • Rebooted the laptop
  • Cleared the Teams credentials from the Windows Credential manager.
  • Cleared the Teams cache.
  • Uninstalled and reinstalled Teams.

The event log error content and my system infoirmatioln is attached. I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

    Hi @Jim McFadden

According to your description, I have the following questions to confirm with you:

Does the Teams web client have the same problem?

Does anyone else in the organization have this problem?

How long has this problem lasted?

In my knowledge, ksproxy.ax files are Windows components that handle video and audio streams. Here are some possible solutions you can try:

    1. Update your Windows system to the latest version. You can do this by going to Windows Update > "Settings> Update & Security" and clicking "Check for updates". Then restart your computer and check if the error persists.
    2. Update audio and video drivers. You can do this by going to Device Manager and expanding the Sound, Video & Game Controllers category. Then right-click on each device and select Update Driver. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
    3. Disable or uninstall any third-party antivirus or firewall software that might interfere with Teams. You can do this by going to Settings > Apps> Apps & Features and selecting the program you want to remove. Then click Uninstall and follow the prompts.

Hope this helps! Moreover, if the above is not your scenario or I have misunderstood anything, please correct me and provide us with detailed information about the issue including the screenshot so that we can better understand to further assist you.
