Can we create dashboard report in Azure Synapse Analytics by without linking to Power BI workspace

Question

I want to create the report for the data in Azure table storage. I could link the azure table storage account and able to linked the data set in Azure Synapse workspace and in preview i am able to see records from the table storage of the selected container .

Can I filter out the whole data from the specific table storage using Azure Synapse workspace without linking to power bi

Or can i create the report by only using power bi

By saying azure table storage on top of azure synapse, I hope you are referring about external table.

yes with synapse table you can form your own query to filter out the table and even create it as a view... but for report you would need to use powerbi.

Or can i create the report by only using power bi

Yes you would need pbi to pull data from synapse and create a report dashboard.

As @Vinodh247 suggested, you can filter Azure Table storage and Synapse dataset data using Synapse pipelines and create a view or a staging table in your synapse database which can be used by Power BI to generate the report.

If your ask is to just connect to import data from Azure table storage and Synaspe SQL to Power BI and then generate report based on some filters, then what you can do is to create dedicated table in Power BI by importing Azure Table storage dataset and Synaspe SQL dataset using the out of box connectors as shown below and then generate the reports as needed:
