Cannot delete backup vault

Hello dear,

I have a problem with deleting the backup vault, when I try to delete it, it says this:

"Vault deletion error: Cannot delete the Backup vault as there are existing backup instances or backup policies in the vault"

but in the dashboard I don't see any entry in backup policies or backup instances.

Could someone give me some advice on how to fix this?

Hi

you can run this script to purge the vault - once you are 100% happy that there is no data left:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/backup/scripts/delete-recovery-services-vault

You may have backup data still in Soft Delete state, but this should clear.

However, I have already successfully deleted the recovery services vault.

But I still have a backup vault that I can't delete.

Yes, I could,

a filter was applied that did not allow me to see the backup instance or the backup policy :)
