Hi,

I´m getting an error in my Power BI visuals with a lot of frequency:

I already followed some instructions that I found in the internet (links below), however the problem was not solved.

Does someone knows the origin of this error and how to solve it?

Thank you

Ana

@14406193 Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for reaching out here.

Could you please confirm if this is the first time you are trying to establish connection to Azure Databricks from Power BI? Or Is it an existing (working) work connection which suddenly started failing with above error message?

If it is an existing working connection, is it failing consistently or intermittently?
Is this issue happening while connecting from Power BI desktop or from Service? Were you able to check if the Power BI service and Power BI desktop are showing the same error? Sometimes the Power BI service might provide more accurate information about the problem.

As per my analysis based on the error message you provided, it seems like a versioning related issue. Have you verified the ODBC version? I went through this issue and seemed identical to your problem.

Could you please try upgrading your ODBC driver to latest version and see if that helps to resolve the issue? - SSL connection error while connecting to Azure Databricks (wrong version number)

Please not if you are quering large data results from ADB, then it is recommended to use latest version of ODBC driver.

I would also recommend going through this document and see if that helps - Configure the Databricks ODBC and JDBC drivers

Hope this info helps. Let us know how it goes.
