What is the minimum RAM configuration for SQL Server Availability Group Automatic Seeding

What is the minimum RAM configuration for SQL Server Availability Group Automatic Seeding? I have an 8GB Windows cluster with two nodes, with about 5GB allocated to SQL on each node. I have a 40GB database that fails to complete seeding with automatic seeding. Queries against sys.dm_hadr_automatic_seeding show that the seeding is not complete

I also noticed that when adding the database to the AG, the memory utilisation on the server increases sharply and results in SQL dump errorlog.

Doing the same thing with Manual seeding however completes without the sharp increase in memory utilization and the seeding successfully completes.

I will appreciate some advice on resolving this issue please. Thank you.

Apparently the min RAM for automatic seeing of a 40 GB database is more than 5GB. I was able to make automatic seeding on my lab AG at home with 6 GB on my VMs. But my biggest database is around 1GB.

Overall, 8 GB for a database server is very humble.
