Teams meeting automatically muting and asking prest *6 to unute

Hi,

Teams meeting is joined from a conference room phone device. Everything goes well, but there are certain calls noticed where it automatically mutes and announcement made "You have been muted, press *6 to unmute yourself". We have no idea why it is happening and who does it. Anyway to find out?

Did the other participants have the same situation?

If you press it, can you hear the meeting sound normally?

There can be many reasons for this problem, such as:

• The mute option that the device itself has been turned on unexpectedly.
• The meeting organizer mutes the attendees and sets a PIN.

To find out who muted you or all attendees, you can view the meeting chat or meeting details in Teams. You can also ask the meeting organizer or other participants if they need to manually turn on the meeting sound.
