data flows is not working in ADF

I am creating a dataflow in ADF while doing it am getting below error.my source is onprem(sql server) and target is azure sql or vice versa. how can i work with data flow when i click on validation or debug button? please suggest me asap.

error details:

linked service with self-hosted integration runtime is not supported in dataflow.

    Currently we don't have the flexibility to point to data source which is in on premise. If you have such requirement you need to bring the data to azure, to either ADLS or AZ. SQL and then use it in the data flow.

    On the other hand, you could follow the steps in this video or the documentation here

    But it would be much easier to go with the first option, to move data from on Prem to azure storage/SQL. And then do the transformation using data flow.
