Windows Failover Cluster - Warning NIC

Hi,

I have a windows failover cluster with 2 nodes (Server1; Server2) In this cluster I have 8 Roles each one with their own IP.

I recently notice a critical event mentioned the following:

Node Server2 is reachable from Node Server1 by only one pair of network interfaces.

It is possible that this network path is a single point of failure for communication within the cluster.

Please verify that this single path is highly available, or consider adding additional networks to the cluster.

I have only 1 NIC on each server. What is the best way to resolve this?

Thank you

    Hi,

As the event pointed out, your network path is a single point of failure for communication within the cluster because you have only one NIC on each server. If you want to remove the warning, you have to add a second NIC for each of your servers to ensure there are multiple network paths.

    Best Regards,
