Application deployment stuck "Waiting to Install" status

Md. Rubiat Haque 151 Reputation points

I deployed SCCM in my environment two days ago. I have only one server which has installed all required roles. I installed few agent for test purpose and all agents installed successfully. After that I deployed a 7zip.msi application to a client machine, from client machine's software center, it showed that, the application downloaded content from distribution point successfully but after that it stuck "waiting to install" status. After that, I deployed notepad++ and I got the same issue. Then I deployed these applications to another machine and got the same issue. I checked appenforced.log and found that timeout issue, after that I configured the time properly but got the same issue again. So, how can I fix this issue. Please share your suggestion as early as possible. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Md. Rubiat Haque,

Normally, this kind of applications doesn't take much time to be installed. It may be an issue on the client side if your application has been packaged and distributed correctly.

I would suggest to you to double check the performances of your client machine, take a look of the running processes and also the Event Viewer.

For verification purpose, you can follow my step by step guide to install 7-zip application:

    Hi, @Md. Rubiat Haque

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Have we configured the boundary and boundary group correctly?

Did we specify a installation deadline time when we deploy the application?

We may check more details in AppEnforce.log, not only the line with error.
