server 2016 vhdx backup mounts as raw after attaching in disk manager
client has a 2016 windows server backup file .vhdx. Thier server crashed and the drive was unrecoverable. Installed server 2019 and tried to recover but it using Windows Server Backup, (WSB), does not recognize the .vhdx file as a backup file. The backup disk they have, an old Seagate USB drive, is full and had bad clusters. Ran chkdsk and it repaired itself. WSB still does not see any backups on the drive. I can now mount the .vhdx file in Disk Manager but it shows up as RAW. The file shows almost 500GB in size. Copied the file to the local hard drive. In WSB I cannot search the C drive for backups so I cannot try to restore from there. I was able to mount it in Disk Manager but the same result of a RAW file. Also tried moving it to a new 4TB USB drive but also the same result with both WSB and Disk Manager.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
