For example there is an update on a new feature to introduce (or) adjust existing feature in ADF based on either some customer request or as per your product road map. This update will be tested by MS ADF product development team internally before you make it available for public. Now our question is we are working for a client where we are productively using ADF in combination of snowflake. And now can we be informed 10 days or 5 days in advance when the updates are about to be released for general public? and made them available for us in non-productive accounts for example to test them so that we can avoid surprises in production job"

FYI - snowflake is informing us 10-14 days in advance, list of patch updates expected to be released and give us opportunity to have access to them before they are available for public preview"

Hi @Kamal Saluja Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for reaching out here.

As per my understanding you are looking for Private preview of ADF features similar to that of Snowflake. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

I don't think you will have a definite answer to this request as it varies from product to product. AFAIK, I don't think ADF product team does this. But just to clarify, private preview means Azure feature is available to * specific* Azure customers (not sure about the criteria in choosing customers) for evaluation purposes. This is typically by invite only and issued directly by the product team responsible for the feature or service.

But there are few preview features in ADF which you can enable or disable using the settings option in ADF Studio. By utilizing this feature, you can choose whether you would like to enable preview experiences in your Azure Data Factory. Here is the related doc: Manage Azure Data Factory studio preview experience

Screenshot of Settings panel highlighting button to turn on Azure Data Factory Studio preview update.

This document also has information about the list of features that are in preview:

Note: Please note that preview features are not recommended to use in production solutions. You can try it out and give feedback to product team for improvements of the features before they are Generally Available.

But if your client is interested in private preview of the features, I would recommend reaching out directly to ADF Product team through ADF portal by providing detailed feedback as shown below:

Hope this info helps. Let us know if you have further questions and I'll be happy to assist.

    Thank you
