When I am creating a new PostgresSQL Flexible Server in West Europe, the option for zone redundant is disabled and only two availability zones are in the list.

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum and thanks for using Azure Services.

As I understand you are unable to find Zone Redundant Option in Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server.

As we could see that Zone 1 is not available for the region in use for this server.

Zone 2 and Zone 3 are available in dropdown. Please try selecting these and you would be able to create Flexible Server successfully.

Thank you for your response. I am able to create Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server, What I am not able to do, which is my question, I am not able to select the option "Zone redundant - a standby server is always available within another zone in the same region as the primary server". In the image that option is disable. Do you know why is this behavior?

The option Zone redundant is disabled because Zone-Redundant HA is not available for West Europe region.

As per the Microsoft document, $ New Zone-redundant high availability deployments are temporarily blocked in these regions.

I believe there might be several internal reasons for the unavailability of Zone-Redundant HA in that region, and we may not have full visibility into the situation.

The West Europe region is known to be highly demanding and busy. However, I an sure that the Microsoft product team will prioritize unblocking Zone-Redundant HA for this region in the near future.

Unfortunately, not sure on a specific information regarding the timeline for when this will happen.

Also, as per the document, if your application requires Zone redundant HA and it's not available in your preferred Azure region, consider using other regions within the same geography where Zone redundant HA is available, such as US East for US East 2, Central US for North Central US, and so on.

Please let us know if you have any further question or need additional information.

I am facing the same issue, and still in the decisioning phase. At this time I cannot determine if it's a good idea to start using this service because I don't know if it will be possible in the future to run with zone-redundant HA in west-EU. Providing information that it's temporarily blocked is not very helpful if there is no indication why and in what timeline it's expected to be available again.

Could you please provide a status update on why this is blocked and when this should be resolved? I would say this information should actually already be on the help page for people who are still unsure if they can use it.
