Are the serial number and model number of NVMe drives unique identifiers that change when a new NVME drive is placed? or do they remain constant even when new drives are installed? Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated. A short but clear explanation will be very helpful, detailed explanation with source links would be greatly appreciated.

In simple terms, I am working on a problem to understand NVME drive failures but would like to know if a change in modelnumber or serialnumber means a change in NVME drive?
