Microsoft authenticator school account

Question

Hi I've been trying to add my school account to my authenticator since it is require to start the account but it's asking me to approuve the authentication on the app but my account isnt added yet since that's what im trying to do. So while trying to add my account it wants me to approuve it on the app im trying to add the account to which doesnt make any sense since the account isnt added yet ! And i cant create the school account without the authenticator app! I've tried deleting and adding the app, checking for updates all is up to date, clearing history and cache, restarting my phone and tried multiple different ways since yesterday and nothing works. Please help!!

Sounds like you already have a MFA auth method set. I would ask your IT admin to clear / reset that and let you start fresh to add your phone
