Flaw in Microsoft Live event?

I had a Live event when the connection had been lost end the event ended accidently, so I had to restart it back. when the event ended, and downloaded the recording, I've noticed that my previous recording before losing the connection has been deleted. is there any way to recover/retrieve the recording?

Could you please tell me:

Did you restart the event by clicking the Restart event button in the Live event?
If so, the event in progress won't be available for on-demand viewing, and the recording, captions, and transcript won't be saved.
