When we image a PC, it does not automatically register with SCCM. If the client is uninstalled, then manually reinstalled the PC will automatically register with SCCM. This started around Feb and no changes have been made to the server, etc.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,Can we see any error in smsts.log? Does SCCM client agent install successfully on the device during imaging?

2,Please also check the LocationServices.log and ClientLocation.log to see if the client could communicate with MP and DP. Does the firewall or anti-virus software block the communication?

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

The version of Configuration Manager on the server is 2111 with Hotfix Rollup (KB12896009).

I see the following errors in the smst.log file:

    <![LOG[RegQueryValueExW is unsuccessful for Software\Microsoft\SMS\Task Sequence, SMSTSEndProgram]LOG]!><time="15:27:35.319+180" date="06-06-2023" component="TSManager" context="" type="2" thread="376" file="utils.cpp:907">

    Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.

The error 0x80040154 means "Class not registered". Have you tried to set the smsmp=<FQDN of MP server> (e.g. image)

    mp property

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon

When we removed the installation properties, the client installs fine however none of the applications will install, etc. If we have information in the installation properties, the client will not install during imaging.
