Hello,

I am currently on the free trial with the $200 credits. I am limited to 4 cores on this. If I upgrade to the Developer ($29), will I be able to use any sized machine? Or do I need to upgrade to the Standard ($100) version?

I am looking to do some testing for my project on a bigger server that is why I ask. My project is too big for 4 cores.

Hi Bob A I want to help you with this question.

If I understand you right, you want to upgrade your Support plan to increase your VM size quotas.
It's not going to work that way. We are talking about two different things here. One is a support plan model, which, depending on the plan, gives you options to contact Microsoft's official support for problems and questions. The other is your subscription or payment plan for deploying your resources.

By increasing the support plan the VM size quota does not change.

    So see: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/dev-test/#discounts

Since you are currently using a Free plan for your Azure subscriptions, I recommend upgrading to "Pay-as-you-go" to adjust your resource limits.

If the problem is solved for you and all questions are answered, I would be happy if you mark the answer as accepted to close the thread.
