I've been having some trouble with Azure Data Studio lately. Our company uses Airlock to protect against malicious software, and unfortunately, it seems to be blocking Azure Data Studio because Microsoft doesn't sign it.
Every time there's an update for the app, I have to go through IT to get it approved.
Do you know why Microsoft isn't signing the app?
It's been causing a headache for me and my team.

As I understand, Azure Data Studio is blocked by Airlock software.

Azure Data Studio is signed. If you right-click on the installer file, and select Properties, on the Digital Signatures tab you will see the signature. Do you have a screenshot of the error, or what information is being provided by Airlock that indicates that ADS is not signed? I'm not sure if you can reach out to the support team from Airlock to understand if they have any insight.

Thank you for the answer. It's much appreciated. I have forwarded your reply to the IT Department. Below you can see how AirLock has blocked the app this morning.
Out IT department sent me the below screenshot.
@Jorge L Dominguez Has the IT department asked Airlock why those are blocked? There are other files within the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Programs\Azure Data Studio folder structure that are not signed, and they are not flagged. There are other files that are signed. And there are other .node files that are not signed, and they are not flagged by Airlock. I'm not sure why the app is blocking only selected files.
Thanks for your inquiry. I truly appreciate your input. I've forwarded your question to the IT Department for their review. Per our current security protocols, IT has to manually authorize each DLL that AirLock detects as unsigned whenever there's an update to Azure Data Studio. This is done to ensure that our systems are always secure and protected against potential threats. I expect IT to respond soon.
Here is the reply from IT:
Airlock doesn't scan folders it only checks files when you try to execute them so a folder full of unsigned code will be ignored by airlock but try to launch one file and that file will be checked. Airlock is a standard product so they should know all this!!
