OneDrive's "Allow only users in specific security groups to share externally" not working

Hey :)

I created a security group in my AD (group of type "Security"). Then, I configured "Allow only users in specific security groups to share externally" in my SharePoint and OneDrive advanced sharing settings and allowed sharing to "Anyone" to the members of the group I created.
However, the members of that group can not really share their OneDrive items with "Anyone" (checked from a regular member account and from the group owner's account). If I uncheck this setting, they do succeed sharing items with "Anyone".

I could not understand what I am doing wrong. I will appreciate any help here!

Thank you all!
