Hey Everyone,

Firstly thank you for having a look at my post, its much appreciated.

I'm in the process of retiring our On-Premises Server which has Active Directory installed. I've already moved our whole team to SharePoint and moved all our files to different sites. We are in the process of moving everyone on Microsoft Teams etc.

I'm up to the part where I am needing to move all the devices in our office to be managed via Intune. Currently, our staff login via our domain using there username which is all connected to our On-Prem server (Active Directory). I am wanting to move from using the domain login to using there staff email which is connected to there Microsoft 365 account which is operated via Intune.

What is the easiest and most effective way to do this? All our users are synced to Azure Active Directory (online), however I can't access some of the settings as its all still hosted on the On-Prem server. Things such as Display Name, Job Information etc can't be changed in the Azure Active Directory online, they must be changed by accessing our On-Prem Server and then doing it through On-Prem Active Directory.

How do I change this so I can edit all the users details and what is the easiest way to move to Intune from an On-Prem Server.

Thank you so much in advance! Happy to answer any questions to help break down the above.

@Ethan Trigg Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

To avoid any misunderstanding, could you please tell us that you want to have both On-Prem AD and Azure AD or you only want to have Azure AD?

If you want to have both On-Prem AD and Azure AD, the device is a hybrid Azure AD joined device. For hybrid Azure AD joined device, we only can use domain user to sign in.

If there is anything misunderstanding, please correct me.
