New Outlook and COM

Hi

I have just learned that MS will no longer support COM-AddIns in the "new" version of Outlook

Does this also apply to COM automation?

Is the new Outlook in Windows actually a HTML/JavaScript application running in a browser window made to look like a windows application?

    As i know, the new Outlook for Windows brings the latest features, intelligent assisted capabilities and a new modern and simplified design to your Outlook app. More information:
