setting remote desktop

I have setup my new desktop for remote desktop, however when I go to login from my laptop i get a user error when trying to login. I have used the direct Remote desktop in win 11 PRO on both ends and the downloadable app on the computer in which I am trying to connect from.

The app does allow my to see the computer - even put it to sleep but will not allow me to login.

How can I get this to work?

    Is the user you are logging in as added to the "Remote Desktop Users" group? If not, try adding it there.
