How to set a default proofing language in my OneNote?

Dear Experts,

I am an extensive user of MS Office products. Especially I am a big fan of MS OneNote. But, I am feeling not comfortable whenever I see the red coloured underline even when I type correct spellings. I have changed the proofing language to English but suddenly it sets back to German. I tried it umpteen number of times still there is no improvement with it. Could you please help me to set the proofing language to English by default.

Strangely, I do not have this problem with other Office tools like MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel or Outlook.

Would be really glad if this issue is resolved!!!

P.S.: I live in Germany and I am using German Kayboard. Probably this is the reason for this automatic setting to German as the proofing language in OneNote??

Best regards

Ranjan

    Hi @Ranjan R Jinka,

Did you use OneNote for Windows?

OneNote sets the proofing language based on keyboard in Windows.

I suggest you try to install the OneNote program separately:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/install-or-reinstall-onenote-for-windows-c08068d8-b517-4464-9ff2-132cb9c45c08

Then you can check if the language proofing can change successfully.

What solves this is to change they keyboard for the language - so keep e.g. "en-us" as the language in Windows and just change the keyboard to the language of choice:
