When naming a class in the Solution Explorer window in Visual Studio 2022, trying to type '}' with the Spanish keyboard layout, will select all the files instead

Hi,

When trying to name a new class as MyClass{T}.cs I have discovered that it is not possible to type '}' with the Spanish keyboard layout, it will select all the files instead. The '}' character is typed in the Spanish layout by holding AltGr and pressing the 'ç' key, which I believe is like holding Ctrl and Alt and pressing 'ç'.

Changing the keyboard layout to en-US works as intended.

Could you please explain to me why this happends and maybe another work around that does not involve changing the keyboard layout?

Thank you.

    Hello @Daniel RM ,

Thank you for taking time to post this issue in Microsoft Q&A forum.

I can reproduce your issue, and I have reported this issue on our Developer Community, here’s the link: Cannot type close brace(using Spanish keyboard layout) in Visual Studio 2022 17.6.4 when renaming the file. Please kindly add comments and follow up that thread.

You may try to switch to use English keyboard layout to type the close brace currently as a temporarily workaround.

    Update1:

This issue is currently under consideration.

Thank you for helping us make Visual Studio better, have a nice day.

    Sincerely,

    Tianyu
