We need to make a postgresql migration from single to flexible server.

In the migration instructions (migrate concepts single to flexible) specifies that if we are using one of the extensions that is not supported by the offline migration tool, we should raise a support request.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/migrate/concepts-single-to-flexible#allow-list-required-extensions

If TIMESCALEDB, POSTGIS_TOPOLOGY, POSTGIS_TIGER_GEOCODER or PG_PARTMAN extensions are used in your single server database, please raise a support request since the Single to Flex migration tool will not handle these extensions.

The extension that we are using is timescaledb.

What should I do to complete a migration that uses this extension?

Thank you.

Hi,@Adolfo Garcia Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum, Thanks for posting your question.

I understand that you are using the TimescaleDB extension, which is not supported by the Single to Flex migration tool, and you are looking for guidance on how to complete the migration with this extension.

As per the Azure documentation on migrating from a single server to a flexible server, if you are using an extension that is not supported by the offline migration tool, you will need to raise a support request to complete the migration.

Please let me know if you need any help in raising a support case.

    Regards

    Geetha
