I can normally receive DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL notifications when I insert a USB flash drive and the number of mounted devices is less than 26, but when the mounted devices are more than Z, the device manager can recognize the inserted devices but cannot receive DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL notifications.

Hello @Aaron, although it's unusual to mount more than 26 disk devices,

If this has a big impact on you, you can open an incident via 'Contact us' tab at link below so that our engineer can work with you closely: Windows SDK developer support and please choose the Desktop App UI Development category for the Windows management (User32) API and Windows messages. In-addition, if the support engineer determines that the issue is the result of a bug the service request will be a no-charge case and you won't be charged.

Or you can send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app about the feature.
