    Hello Vipul Kumar

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

Deleting a VM in Azure usually takes only a few minutes, but sometimes it can take longer depending on the size of the VM and the amount of data stored on it. If you have been waiting for more than an hour and the VM is still not deleted, there may be an issue with the deletion process.

Check the activity log in the Azure portal to see if there are any events related to the deletion process.

Try deleting the VM again. Sometimes, the deletion process can get stuck, and trying again can help to resolve the issue.

Also, you can try to delete the Auzre VM using PowerShell and see if that helps.

Remove-AzVm -ResourceGroupName "myResourceGroup" -Name "myVM" -ForceDeletion $true

    Hope that helps.

    Hello Vipul Kumar

If you're unable to delete a VM in the Azure Free Trial and the delete operation has been ongoing for an extended period, there are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the VM status: Confirm that the VM's status is indeed "Stopped (Deallocated)" before attempting to delete it. You can do this by navigating to the Azure portal, locating the VM, and verifying its status.

Retry the delete operation: Sometimes, delete operations can take longer than expected due to various factors. Retry the delete operation by selecting the VM in the Azure portal, clicking on "Delete," and following the prompts.

Verify resource dependencies: Check if the VM has any associated resources that might be causing a delay in the deletion process. For example, if the VM has disk storage, network interfaces, or virtual network resources associated with it, they might need to be deleted first before the VM can be successfully removed. Ensure that all dependencies are removed before attempting to delete the VM again.

Check for error messages: During the deletion process, errors or warnings might be displayed in the Azure portal. Look for any error messages that might provide additional information on why the deletion is taking longer than expected. These messages can help identify any potential issues that need to be addressed.

Contact Azure Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Azure Support for assistance. They can investigate the situation further and provide guidance specific to your account and resources.

It's important to note that Azure Free Trial subscriptions have certain limitations and restrictions, including quotas and resource limitations. It's possible that these limitations could affect the deletion process. Consulting Azure documentation or contacting Azure Support can help determine if any trial-related limitations are impacting the delete operation.

Remember to monitor any billing or usage charges during this process, as some resources may continue to incur costs until they are successfully deleted.
