Is it possible to automatically start an Azure virtual machine (running Windows 10) as soon as a user attempts to log in via Remote Desktop, and if so, how can it be achieved?

Thanks

    Hi, Carlo

Start on Connect is supported by Azure Virtual Desktop, so it will start the VM for the first person to log in automatically.

Start on Connect supports the following Remote Desktop clients:

But Start on Connect is an AVD feature; if you are;t using AVD, and trying to login with the standard RDP app on windows, then you can't; you would have to have another script to start the VM before the user generally tried to log in.
