Problems with EFS on a shared folder of a domain file server
hi, I have a physical machine with Windows 2019 srv std on which, using the Hyper-virtualization platform, I have 2 servers with Windows 2022 std server operating system: one acting as a domain controller and the other acting as a file server.
On the file server I have a shared folder that I encrypted with EFS using a single certificate that I generated on the server itself with the Administrator user (I didn't create any CA).
Then I exported the certificate with the private key and for all users I accessed with their domain credentials in remote desktop on the file server and installed the exported certificate.
From the clients, which are all machines joined to the domain, everything is ok on reading, but the following problem occurs during the modification phase: if I try to create a new folder or file on the root of the shared folder, everything is ok, but if I go down even one level up, I get a permission error and at that point the user can't make any more changes (even on root) until I restart the file server. If, on the other hand, I carry out this creation operation with the user in question logged into the file server, then I have no problem.
I also turned on delegation for the file server in Active Directory Users and Computers. How can I fix?
A thousand thanks.
