I understand that you are facing issues with Virtual Network Gateway Creation as it is taking longer time. Kindly note a Virtual Network Gateway could take anything between 45 minutes to 1 hour depending on multiple factors like size of the gateway and region where gateway is getting created. But if it is taking more than that kindly check the below points -
- One reason could be that there is a platform configuration issue affecting the Virtual Network Gateway. You can check the provisioning state of the gateway to see if it is still in progress by going to the properties button on the Virtual network Gateway page on Azure Portal.
- If it is, you can wait for it to complete. If it is not, you can try resetting the gateway with from the reset button on the Virtual network Gateway page on Azure Portal or using the below powershell command.

- Kindly advise if above points did not help you, in that case a support ticket with Azure support need to be opened for further investigation.
