Hi all,

Do you know how to rename the computers during the OSD process? We would like to use the serial number in the computer name. If you have any idea, please kindly share it. Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Agree with @Rahul Jindal [MVP] . Yes, we are able to rename computer name with serial number. Just do a "Set Dynamic Variables" step and set the OSDComputerName to something like "Prefix%_SMSTSSerialNumber%". Do it before you do the "Apply Windows Settings" step. Refer to:

Note: This is non-Microsoft link, just for your reference.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
