Why does Azure keep denying my creation of a pfSense+ image?

Hi all

I've been working on this project on Azure, which involves configuring a virtual network using a virtualised firewall such as pfsense. I'm doing this strictly for experimentation purposes so that I can understand how Networking and pfsense works.

Whenever I try to create a VM using the Netgear pfSense image, it gives me the error that it "cannot be purchased due to validation errors" and that "your subscription is not eligible". I don't know why my new subscription, which is the $200 first free month thing does not suffice. Even then, my payment details are also on the account, why does it keep denying me use? What is wrong with this thing?

    Hello @Jo Jo !

Unfortunately some Subscriptions in Azure cannot create certain images from the Marketplace , and are only available to PAYG Subscriptions ( or other types with active payments)

I have seen this also to MSDN and Free Subscriptions

Only by Upgrading to PAYG you would be able to run the Image

    I hope this helps!
