We have upgraded all our SQL servers to 2019 except for the Reporting Services (Native Mode) which is still running on SQL 2014. The reporting service's database is on a remote server that has already been upgraded to SQL 2019.

I am looking for guidance on how to upgrade SSRS to 2019 with the remote SQL server database already running on SQL 2019. As SSRS upgrade doesn't support direct upgrade from 2014 to 2019, is there any article or guidance available to follow for a case where the database is already upgraded to 2019?

    Hi @Rhonda Richardson Kovanda

To upgrade from Reporting Services 2016 and earlier to Reporting Services 2017 and later, you need to migrate your Reporting Services installation. You can refer to this document: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/reporting-services/install-windows/migrate-a-reporting-services-installation-native-mode?view=sql-server-ver16.

I also found this link: https://www.sqlservercentral.com/articles/migrating-sql-server-reporting-services, maybe you can use it as a reference.

    Best regards,

    Aniya
