Good morning, everyone! I have a question, and it's a basic one. I would like to know if I can migrate a subscription between different organizations (Company A sends the subscription to Company B) in the Azure tool. I found documentation about the process and would like to confirm.

Is the process described in the following link what I should follow to perform the migration?

https://learn.microsoft.com/pt-br/partner-center/switch-azure-subscriptions-to-a-different-partner

Thank you all in advance.

    Hi @Fernandes Filho Fernando ,

First, I would like to recommend you check the next documentation about tenant , accounts, etc. : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/enterprise/subscriptions-licenses-accounts-and-tenants-for-microsoft-cloud-offerings?view=o365-worldwide

About your question, usually the organization has a tenant and this tenant have the subscription associated . Therefore if you want to move a subscription A from Tenant A to tenant B you need to have in mind this some steps (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/transfer-subscription):

Keep in consideration transfer role assigments and the impact for users and service principal.(https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/role-based-access-control/transfer-subscription)

I hope this brief information can help you.

    Cheers,

Hello @Fernandes Filho Fernando Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A platform and I apologize for the delayed response!

Yes, you can transfer an Azure subscription from one organization to another using the Azure portal. The process is called a "transfer of billing ownership" and it allows you to move the subscription from one Azure account to another**.**

The link you provided is for transferring an Azure subscription under an Azure plan from one partner to another. If you are transferring a subscription between two different organizations, you can follow the steps outlined in the following documentation:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/transfer-ownership-of-an-azure-subscription

This documentation provides detailed steps on how to transfer the subscription, including what information you need to provide and how to initiate the transfer.

Please note that there are some limitations to transferring a subscription, such as the subscription must be in good standing and not have any past due balances. Additionally, some subscriptions may not be eligible for transfer. You can find more information on the limitations in the documentation.
