If you have an existing Federation Trust and one on-prem Exhange 2016 server, will running the HCW configure OAuth authentication between the on-prem server and Exchange Online and get rid of the Federation Trust?

We have a Hybrid environment with one Exchange 2016 server (2012R2 OS). It was initially set up with a Federated trust.

We are looking to run the HCW to ensure that it is setup optimally and get it ready to be replaced the on-prem server with a 2022 server with Exchange 2019.

I understand that using OAuth authentication offers more functionality, and that the HCW, by default (if you on-prem servers are 2013 or later), sets up OAuth for new Hybrid configurations.

But, will it convert a current hybrid configuration from Federated trust to OAuth?

    The HCW will check and enable Oauth now. It only enables Federation Trust is there are 2010 servers in the mix. It will still create the org relationships however
