How can I add an existing group teams chat to a new sharepoint site?

The teams chat and the SharePoint site has the same members.

    What type of group is this?

    As far as I know, if it's a Microsoft 365 group, there's a Connect to new Microsoft 365 group option in the SharePoint site settings menu, which will connect the site to Microsoft 365 group.

    According to my tests, there is no option to connect directly to the site if it's a normal group chat. To add members, you need to click Next steps to invite members or add to Teams.
